NAI Global Plants Flag in Costa Rica
NAI Global, the world’s premier network of commercial real estate firms and one of the largest real estate service providers worldwide, is increasing its presence in Latin America and the Caribbean with the signing of Merkapro. The company has changed its name to NAI Costa Rica to reflect its new affiliation.
The staff at NAI Costa Rica brings more than 25 years of experience in the region to their clients, providing strong tenant/buyer representation, brokerage services, advisory services, appraisals and market analysis for companies both within Costa Rica and with interests in the market.
“The Costa Rican market is growing quickly, with significant opportunity in retail and tourism-related ventures,” said Jeffrey M. Finn, NAI Global President & CEO. “The professionals at NAI Costa Rica have years of experience working with top clients, property managers and developers across the market, and will be in a better position to serve those interests with the resources available through NAI’s global network.” Based in Princeton, New Jersey, NAI Global manages a network of 375 offices and 8,000 professionals in 55 countries around the world.
“Costa Rica is just starting to realize its untapped potential, and our affiliation with NAI Global will give us access to the tools necessary to help further advance the market’s investment and development potential,” said Carlos Robles, NAI Costa Rica Managing Director.
According to Robles, Costa Rica’s biggest commercial real estate opportunity lies in the growing tourism sector as well as investment opportunities presented with the country’s participation in CAFTA (Central American Free Trade Agreement). Hotels and resorts, as well as the office, retail and industrial sectors that support these new tourist venues, are the fastest growing segment, he said.
NAI Costa Rica is NAI Global’s exclusive member for the market and maintains offices at Centro Colon in San Jose.
